The Dover Delaware Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) invites all MOAA members and their guests, and all active duty, prior service, retired, National Guard, Reserve, USPHS, NOAA, Coast Guard and all other Commissioned and Warrant Officers of the U.S. Uniformed Services, their spouses and their guests to join us for our next Dinner Meeting.

Date: Saturday Evening, April 21, 2012.

Location: Roma Italian Ristorante, Rt. 113 & Exit 95 Off Rt. 1, Dover, DE.

Time: 1700 Hours (5:00 P.M.) Social Hour; 1800 Hours (6:00 P.M.) Sit-down Dinner.

Dover Delaware MOAA Chapter President, Colonel Ron Sarg, USAF Retired (right) accepts 2011 5 Star Level of Excellence Award.

MOAA Dover 5 Star Chapter

It was my privilege and pleasure to attend the MOAA "Annual Meeting" in San Antonio on October 29th to accept on behalf of the Dover Chapter what I was initially told would be a Chapter "4 Star Level of Excellence Award" from MOAA National.

However, unknown to me, errors in calculation were found when the scores of our submission package were reviewed a second time for accuracy just prior to the meeting. It was then announced only at the time of official presentation that the Dover Chapter had actually earned a "5 Star Streamer of Excellence Award". Needless to say I was speechless and at a total loss of words upon this announcement, but proudly and with a broad smile accepted the "Streamer" that will be affixed to our new Chapter Flag.

Hearty congratulations and many thanks to all Dover DE Chapter members for your continuous support and tireless efforts in achieving this very well deserved and very prestigious milestone.

Chapters News....

	November 2011: The nominations for the 2012 Dover DE MOAA Executive Committee were closed at the November 19th Dinner Meeting, followed by voting of the members present. The following people were voted in to fill the positions on the Chapter's 2012 Executive Committee: President - Col Ron Sarg, USAF (Ret); 1st Vice President - Col Gregory Haven, USAR (Ret); 2nd Vice President - LTC James Pillsbury, USAF (Ret); Treasurer - LT Fred Franze, USN (Ret); Secretary - Mrs. Laura Franze. Thank you all for your vote of confidence and support. We all look forward to being of service throughout the upcoming year.

	We welcome aboard new members to the Dover Chapter who joined us in December. They include: Colonel Mark Hetterly, USAFR (Ret) and his wife Nancy: and Major (Dr) Rafael Zaragoza, USA (Former) and his wife Barbara Claire. We look forward to meeting all of you personally and making many happy future memories together. They will be listed in the new Chapter Roster that will be mailed out in February.
